Advanced Member Posts: 11,246 Group: Members Member #8 Joined: August 31, 2008	My "weekend" continues with a few rays of sunshine in the morning...and then rains later in the day. I am attending a Memorial Visitation for the last of my dad's buddies (that was of the same age as him). This guy experienced kidney failure. My dad and him were best buds through high school years and beyond....then the families always got together to watch THE WIZARD OF OZ. I should be able to share old times with the family...some of which I have not seen since college days at the latest. Yesterday... took me to my 10FootRabbitPark and the highlight of the day was watching two ducks and the ducklings swimming around in the creek that meanders through the park. There supposedly is a BEAVER dam on this creek...but not very easy to stumble upon. I satisfied a PIZZA craving yesterday...and I am still paying for it. My favorite pizza joint has been closed with the new address in the phone book...but the place has not been converted yet. The old place I could order by the SLICE...so getting a whole pizza pie was alot of cheese that is not my favorite topping on the pizza. THE CLOSER was very good last night. I like the OTHER WOMEN ruffling KYRA's feathers. Tonight's SAVING GRACE and RESCUE ME may be the exceptional episodes of the season. Of course that is only a prediction. One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago was called HELMAND's and the speciality that I LOVED was their serving of PUMPKIN as the vegetable side dish...with a little dab of sour cream...

Nothing unusual....thankfully. I went on my normal bike ride...and saw the duck and the ducklings...a bluebird and some coy?? The Japanese carpie goldfish. The people at the park...one thing that I have noticed is that people are being a little more attentive to others around them. I get great responses to my greetings...and tend to always have some "small talk" with some body. Afterwards...I came home did some odds and ends cleaning...and then jumped into the shower. I went to the grocery store and picked up some PIZZA DOCTORING products. If you may remember I had some LittleCaesars pizza...attempted to keep my costs down...but talk about bland. So I picked up some Italian sausage, jalapeno peppers, cauliflower, broccoli, and asparagus (sp) and a small container of Artichoke and Garlic salsa....stirred fried...mixed together...stuffed some of the leftover pizza...and VOILA!!! Talk about one incredible PIZZA stuffed PIE!!!! I have been trying to remember "memories" of the family that I will be visiting during the visitation....and I discovered that it may be difficult to really talk about the past. The one guy that was my age...played with dolls...BARBIE and KEN...all of the time. Growing up...I just figured that this guy was a little bit more like me than the rest of my buddies...but DOLLS?? My imagination allowed for some fun times but...ONE DISCOVERY when I was de-pantsing KEN...I discovered that KEN did not look like me DOWN THERE and I wondered what was wrong with me?? Returning home...I then searched through the ENCYCLOPEDIAs and learned many things about the differences between girls and boys. When my friend was playing with BARBIE...I asked him..."Why is BARBIE's hair so dull and lifeless?" He responded..."I'll take care of that." And thus my friend ended up being a hairdresser...rather successful one later in life. So was he gay or straight....?? He is married with a woman with many kids and still can make the BIGGEST HAIR in the Midwest. Well it sounds like you had a great day so far, Flashy.Left....!!!!
