Good morning! Yes, it's haircut day for Meeeeeheeeeeee! And about time, too....Patty, those strollers are cute. I've seen them before, but it's been in catalogs, never actually being in use. I'd like to put our 2 in one and take them with me. Steve would like it, not so sure about Toomuch. ![]() I'll be a single mom for awhile, even before the planned hiking trip in a week, since Tom's heading out this morning for Brush, CO and Sidney, NE as his dad has taken a turn for the worse and isn't expected to live. His sister called last night, she's already there. I wonder how things will play out.... ![]() So, Toomuchy had better get her act together for dogwalks with 'mom', cause mom doesn't have the patience that 'dad' does. ![]() Anyway, I need to start cleaning, etc in case the hike/camp actually happens next week, it will depend on lots of things. Both Tom and Julie are determined that it won't be cancelled, so we'll see... ![]() So I picked up 2 books yesterday at the library, then they called last night, saying another one is ready for pickup. Linda, we went to a Johnny Carino's when we lived in ABQ. Have something yum! ![]() I hope Karen's having a wonderful time on her mini-vacation, and Sherri, too, of course, although it sure doesn't seem as if the weather's cooperating. ![]() Janet, how's Tony's elbow? ![]() Jill, I'm gonna add that ducking smiley to ours. ![]() Boy, Ann had some night, Tuesday night! She called to tell me about it. She, like I, get back spasms, sometimes horrible ones. She got one at work Tuesday, that was a lulu! After a lot of goings on at work, she made it home. (she should never have driven!!!! ) Finally got into bed and settled, feeling a tiny bit better. Woke up in the night to pee, tried to go by herself, ended up having to crawl there and back, in the process passed out briefly and split her chin open, so blood all over... Finally Tom got her back in bed and cleaned up and full of drugs.... she called and the back was a lot better, but she was waiting for Tom to stitch up her chin. He's a veterinary surgeon. He had to put in 4 tiny stitches. Sigh... poor thing! So we had quite the talk about backs, what causes the problem, what to have ready in future, etc..... ![]() Seems like I had something else to say, but.... it will come to me. ![]() Be happy today!

Good Morning! ![]() Barb, I'm so sorry to hear about Tom's dad. I hope Tom has a safe trip and gets there in time to say goodbye.Ann, certainly did have quite a night. Do muscle relaxers help with the back spasms? They might be something to keep on hand just in case. I'm glad she is doing better now, but geesh! ![]() I've changed my mind about Johnny Carinos. Abuelos sent me a coupon so think we'll try it instead. Paulette says they are really good so we'll see. Then again, I may change my mind yet again. I'd never seen one of those doggie stollers before. It says there is a 20 lb weight limit so Rusty couldn't have used one. He weighed about 23 lbs when he died. Yesterday I put together about 10 pieces of my jigsaw puzzle. At this rate, I should be finished by Christmas. ![]() Have a great Thursday!

It's hot and in the 90's here. There is no doubt it's summer! I have forgotten to tell you all that my grandmother fell last Friday night and has been in the hospital since then. She didn't break anything, but did bruise her face and had a cut that had to be stitched. She has been the hospital due to some bleeding and swelling of the brain. She is doing MUCH better now and should be out by the weekend. She will have to have some rehab, though. That is where I have been these past few days. I did get to talk to her Tuesday on the phone and she sounded ok, but you could tell she was having trouble thinking of what to say. I got the frame of my puzzle put together yesterday and got about 20 pieces of the inside while I was waiting for coffee this morning. At this rate Linda and I will be finished by Christmas, which works for me since this is a Christmas puzzle. I have back spasms too and muscle relaxers work wonders for me. Hope everyone has a great day! |

Linda, a birthday girl can change her mind as many times as she wants to. Kevin, I hope your grandma makes a good recovery. Those things get scary as people advance in age, don't they? ![]() It's cute how many of us are puzzlers... ![]() I'm going to get the house cleaned while Tom's gone, or at least some of it, depending on the length of time he's away. He left about 6 this morning. As you'd expect from him, he hasn't said much, but I know he's having lots of mixed feelings, since he hasn't been close to his parents for many years. When Butty was old and frail, we used to say we should put him into a kids' wagon we had and pull him around the block. But I don't think the Buttster would have put up with that. ![]() |

I was up late last night just watching and surfing through the TV. Nothing particularly good to watch, just surfing. Sherry is coming over this morning to take me out. No place in particular, probably just to her house and I'll play with the puppies. I just like to get out of my surroundings for a while. Tomorrow is the government holiday for July 4 even though the 4th is on Saturday. Things should be quiet around here with all the students gone away for the holiday. I'm going to Sherry's for hot dogs. Sorry to hear about Tom's Dad. Hope Tom has a safe trip. My goodness Ann did have a bad night. Hope she gets better. Kevin, hope your grandma continues to recover. Hope everyone has a good day. |

I think GaryK needs a kittystroller. Linda...it sounds like YOU are not changing your mind about the restaurants...it sounds like your stomach is changing its mind!! I hope everyone will be feeling well soon. I have a feeling TOM will figure out how to deal with his dad's issues and his own. If not...you and the Furrsters are right there for him!!! WORK: I thought the END of THE MONTH was wellllll the beginning of the month was Holy crap....it felt like "After Christmas in July". I went through a few mountains of returns during the day. I assume after today things will slow down. Another SENIOR DAY...which always brings out some strange things....usually on the good side of things. I ALWAYS make sure someone Grandma leaves Cust Serv as happy as possible...because Grandma will talk about the good things...and you know will beeeeatch about the bad things in life. SAVING GRACE was really good. I love watching the family unit of Grace and that was interesting. Tonight ROYAL PAIN. I have made a sandwich...mainly veggie with a little meat for lunch. I may start phasing out the MEAT from my sandwiches in a few weeks. FINALLY I saw a FARRAH moment with BarbaraWalters and another Angel. I caught some discussion on HAIR... ![]() One little news blurb caught my eye...in India...and Indian court ruled GAY SEX as LEGAL....a HUGE CHANGE that will have a dramatic impact but little news notice. Have a happy holiday while I work..... |

Good morning, I'm planning on a short work day today. Hopefully we will be outta here around noonish. I'm also having back spasms today. I was taking the trash out, bent down to lift a bag (not a heavy one either) and ouch :cry. I've taken some tylenol but I'm looking forward to getting home and adding some heat.My coworkers girlfriend, the one with the 2 teddy bear dogs, has a stroller like that. It was perfect for the female Sophie who if very very tiny and had surgery on her legs/knees when she was young. Barb, sorry to hear about Tom's dad. Kevin, all the best to your grandma. |

Lots of good thoughts for both Tom's father and Kevin's grandmother Yikes that is quite a night Ann had She must have really whacked her chin too Hope she's feeling better. She definitely needs to have something on had for when she gets spasms. Yikes I can't imagine! Poor thing LOL I bet Mac would be perfectly content in a wagon unless he saw something he needed to take care of However he'd enjoy the ride. Hopefully the weather is nice this weekend so he and I can spend some time outdoors. He hasn't been getting enough of that lately and he loves being outside.Busy workday for me and then I figure tomorrow will be kind of a light day as a lot of people are starting their holiday. Sure hope the weather clears up for everybody out east Our vacationers aren't having very good luck but hopefully having fun anyhow.Have a great day

Morning! I think we're finally going to hit the upper 70s today! There is a bright sunny sky outside right now. Yeah! I've lost count of how many games we've watched so far this week. I know the kids have played at least 8 between the two of them already! We have two more tonight and tomorrow night. Monday is the last day of the regular season. It seems like it has gone fast. Not much else to report here since all I'm doing is watching ball games. Did you see the report on the news about the baby in Florida killed by a boa constrictor the family kept as a pet .... it the house only in a small aquarium? People are really stupid! It was reported they had more than one in there. Sounds like the adults may be charged with child endangerment. Sorry to hear about Tom's dad. Hope he gets to see him. Kevin, hope your grandmother continues to get better! I'd like to do puzzles .... but I feel like I do that everyday putting quilts together! Actually, it sounds really relaxing if I had a place to set it up. Have a great day all! |

quilts, I think your quilts could definitely qualify as puzzles. Glad your weather is improving. I saw something from Des Moines yesterday, was it where a woman was being rescued from a river by a construction worker? ![]() I told Ann, too, that she should get her back checked out to see if there's anything structurally wrong, and then to have stuff on hand, she agreed, at least to the having stuff on hand. I also told her that if she has another spell, she should wake Tom up and not try and get around by herself. I'm in the process of cleaning Tom's bathroom.

Good Morning! More rain and cool temps here...sigh...we're heading out soon to this big market place that also has a huge flea market. Should be fun...haven't been there in several years. She's lucky Tom's can stitch her up. I hope she's doing better today. Linda, any pieces put in a puzzle is progress Jill, I hope you get to leave early today Have a great day no matter what the weather does! |

Good morning! The *@#%! rain has returned and I'm inside today, doing laundry, cleaning and some baking. Not bad stuff, of course, but I was on a roll with the yard work and was hoping to finish another project today. My mother-in-law will be arriving in exactly a week. One would think that fact alone would prove to be a strong motivator to tackle the inside stuff robustly but... uh... no I'll panic-clean next week, like usual. Barb, I'm sorry about Tom's father. I hope Tom will find whatever brings him peace. Poor Ann! Wow! I hope she & Tom are able to put a few things together for if/when it happens again. Kevin, that's great that your grandmother is recovering so well. Linda, Happy Birthday!! Have fun with whatever you decide to do and eat!Flashy, taping the fridge, hmm? That's good that it worked! Sorry that work was so crazy busy. Jill, hopefully you can get out of work early and start your holiday weekend asap I hope Sherri's vacation is going well! Quilts, I definitely think quilts are like puzzles! Sorry the game time temps have been so chilly. Karen, good luck with your weekend plans! Patty, glad you've been able to get out and about. Hopefully the pain will subside as your muscles strengthen. Time to get some stuff done. Have a good day! |

On my way to Curves this morning, I heard a news story about a murderer named Two Hatchet. They were saying, 'with a name like that, what do you expect?' Unfortunately, the woman he killed probably didn't expect it. ![]() Kevin, I'm so glad your grandmother is improving. Those head injuries are scary. Barb, a friend in Houston and I used to walk with our two dachshunds all the time. Hers was a miniature who hurt his back and had surgery. Afterwards, he could only drag his back legs so we'd take him for a walk in his little red wagon. Patty, have fun at Sherry's. Flashy, I think I now qualify for the Kohl's senior discount. Whoopee! ![]() Jill, I'm sorry your back is causing problems today. It's gotta be something in this board water. ![]() Judy, a lot of businesses will be off tomorrow. I know that Bill will be home. Quilts, that is such a sad news story. Those parents should definitely be charged. They're idiots. Janet, I tell myself that very thing when I'm working that puzzle....each piece placed is one less to place. Hope you find some real bargains at the flea market. Anni, what are you baking this morning? I bet your kitchen smells good. ![]() |
