Good morning! :smile Wow, July! :eek I don't want to be a negative nellie, but before you know it, we're going to be thinking FALL! :smack And we really haven't had Summer... Now, I :heart Fall, but we still need a Summer. :waiting

We, well, Tom, :devil put in a new overhead light fixture yesterday. We picked it out at Walmart, and I just :heart it! Last night in bed, before we turned off the light, I kept looking at the new one and saying how much I loved it... Simple folk.... :lol :lol

flashy, there was a story on tv this morning, I heard it with half an ear, but the gist of it was about a cat that had been missing for 6 years and was reunited with its owner. :eek Apparently it had been living just down the road with somebody who had found it, and then that person died, and an animal shelter discovered a microchip, which enabled it to be given back to its original owner. :muchlove Maybe it and Gary could exchange stories. :shutup

What's the weather like in Maine for Sherri? :fingers

Linda, I just can't believe how many miles you put on at the hospital! :eek Well, I CAN, but you know..... :lol

Finishing up Roadside Crosses. It's good, and also quite the Internet 101 as far as fantasy games go, and geek speak....

Have a 'hoppy' day! :hug

Good morning! :muchlove The calendar may say July, but the weather here certainly doesn't reflect it. It's cloudy, dark, and cool with thunderstorms moving in. :cry I told Brian that we're going to have to fly somewhere warm for vacation, since I need to see the sun!

We're off to our getaway later today. Brian had to go into work for awhile :cuss . Let's just say that I wasn't happy about it.

I'm getting my hair done this morning. I'm thinking about a mani or at least a pedi, but we'll see.

We're thinking about going to the Cape for the 4th, but I found out that my sisters and families are also thinking about going, so we'll only be going if the weather's going to be nice. I'm not going if we're going to be stuck in the house all weekend with the babies. If it's beach weather, then that's okay, since we'll spend our whole day at the beach. We'll see. :hmm

Barb, I'm glad that you're liking the new light. :2thumbs I often get buyers' remorse with those things, so I'm glad that you're happy.

Linda, that's great that you like your volunteer job so much. :2thumbs

Janet, any news on Tony? :huh

Have a great day! :muchlove

Just a quick check in and GOOD MORNING on WEDNESDAY.

RESCUE ME...WOW!! The music was more lame...but Denis definitely took it to a different level! I am still cringing at one of his scenes....but am thankful the accident was low key on the screen.

Maybe I will fit SAVING GRACE in tonight.

I have been fasting. Would you believe that I TAPED my frig shut just to get this bloodwork over with!!!

WORK...end of the month... :puke

Have a grand RABBIT! RABBIT!! Day.

I can't believe it's July either. We have cooler weather too and cloudy but I think unlike Karen ours is only supposed to last a couple of days.

Anybody watching Superstars on ABC? I'm watching since Maks is on and he's doing terrific. He's a good athlete. Some of their challenges are pretty rough however and 2 have already gone down with injuries. :eek I'm enjoying it but if there were really other choices I don't know how much I'd be into it :shutup

Things just get weirder and weirder in the whole Michael Jackson saga. His father is really acting like a jerk.

Lots of work for me today since I think a lot of people will probably cut out on Friday.

Have a great day :beerchug

Ugh! Barb, I'm with you .... where the heck is summer!!! On Sunday, the weather forecast said it was going to be sunny and in the 70s all week. Well, we haven't seen that yet. For two nights in a row I've had to huddle in a winter jacket and under blankets at the ball games and it looks like it's going to be that way again tonight. Right now it's cloudy and about 55 degrees....happy July! :waiting We'll be really warm on our vacation since will be visiting family in Florida.

Mitch and Ali both have away games tonight and Mitch is playing in the 9th grade game here today. He asked the coach if he could play 9th grade because since they brought him up to jv/varsity to pitch, he mostly sits the bench when he's not pitching and he feels like he's losing some fielding and hitting skills.

Well, I better get to work since I have to leave early for a game. Have a great day all!

Good Morning! :smile

Barb, did you use your new Rabbit, Rabbit mug this morning?

I'm glad you like the new light fixture. :2thumbs

We have two baby rabbits who have been hiding underneath one of our hydrangea bushes. When we disturb them, they try so hard to climb up onto our patio. Their feet are almost as long as their torso. They are really cute. Too bad they'll only grow up to eat my flowers and make more bunnies. :gaah

Karen, have a wonderful vacation. I've only been to Cape Cod once. It was in June, very cold, and rainy, and we got a flat tire. :mad

Flashy, good luck with the bloodwork. Have a great lunch or brunch afterwards.

Judy and Quilts, I'd be happy to send you, and anyone else who wants it, some of our summer heat. It was 99 here yesterday.

I stopped at the nursery this morning after going to Curves to buy some flowers for our front bed. I wasn't going to put any in this year and then changed my mind after seeing a neighbor trying to get rid of bermuda grass that had taken over his flower bed. I think, or at least hope, that having flowers will help keep out the bermuda.

Have a happy July 1st Hump Day! :hug

Went out with Sherry yesterday and went to Target. They have scooters. I actually did some shopping and got a pair of knee length shorts and a few other things I had been needing. They wouldn't let Sherry in with the puppies (even though they are tiny and were in a mesh zipped stroller). Said it was because they have a hot dog, pizza stand there and the health inspector wouldn't like it. She went to Staples and Pet Smart while I shopped in Target. I felt pretty good (with the help of pain medication).

Today, I'm waiting for the PT. I thought she was coming yesterday but I had my days mixed up. By the end of the day yesterday, my operated leg did hurt a lot. The day begins pretty well with less pain but the more I do and the more I move, it gets a lot more painful as the day goes on. But it's better to do something than to do nothing. The PT is having me walk up stairs the way everyone does. I have been two footing it on each landing since my operation (and before). It really hurts but in the end, I think it will make me stronger in that leg. All the muscles in that leg have really atrophied before and after my operation.

We had another big storm last night. The electricity went out for about five seconds but came back on right away - thank goodness.

The good thing about the Fall is that I hope and pray that by the Fall I will be walking on my own without a cane. The weather is sunny and bright here today.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Linda, yes, we did use our rabbit, rabbit coffee mugs this morning! :biggrin I almost bought some petunias today at City Mkt to put in the neighborhood garden, but then I forgot. I may do that within the next few days, although with the heat we're supposed to be getting, I don't know. It's not like they're right in the yard and I could easily water them, so will have to think about it. They were on sale for 3 for $5 with your card, and looked healthy. :hmm

flashy, I absolutely cannot believe you taped your fridge shut. :lol :lol :lol

Patty, I have never seen anybody with dogs in a little screened in stroller in stores. How fun that would be! :lol Glad you got some shopping done. It definitely doesn't take long for muscles to atrophy, when Tom ruptured his achilles tendon and had surgery on it it took him forever to get strength back and it still is smaller than his other leg. :waiting

A storm seems to be rolling in. :tomato

I planned on the treadmill today, but so far it hasn't happened and I have other stuff to do now, so... it may wait until tomorrow. :hmm

:tomato :tomato :tomato :tomato :tomato :tomato :tomato :tomato :tomato :tomato :tomato :tomato :tomato

I could go on, but I think you understand!! :biggrin

In my best "Sherri" like voice. It's been an overcast day that started out with fog and upgraded to spits of drizzle. Temps ranged from low 50s in the morning to mid 60s during the day. FYI We had nearly 3x's the average rain fall for the month!!! Also the normal highs for late June/early July are well into the 70s!!
Ciao!

I have to admit that our temps got up to 90 today, or close to it, and that's predicted for several days upcoming.... :biggrin I guess we need a ducking smiley.... :shutup It did cloud up and sprinkle a bit late afternoon, though.

Barb, here's a link to the kind of stroller Sherry has for her two little puppies, Peanut and Smokie. Sherry's is pink. A lot of stores allow her to bring her puppies into their stores in it. It's just that places that have eating facilities won't allow it.

Taping the FRIDGE really was perfect...mainly because I have such an addiction for Dark Chocolate Peanut M&Ms. I need to stop eating them so much...but I do love them.

SAVING GRACE has been really GOOD from last night.

Even though I went to a family reunion...I really did not find too much time to talk to my sisters.
