Good morning! :smile Well, I hope that the bloody Sunday thing really is just about True Blood, and that we don't have anymore added walking wounded today. Sheesh! :waiting

I'm waiting for my fosomax "waiting" to be done so I can have some scrambled eggs. :eat Thanks to the computer, that half hour goes fast. :biggrin I always have to :rolleyes when I see those commercials about how some women are so darned busy they have to take their fosomax or similar med in a once a year IV.... :waiting Come on..... seriously? :huh THAT busy? :hmm

We got to use and appreciate the deck sails yesterday, as we had sun and warm, not like some of you, natch, but still warm. It really made a difference in the comfort level out on the deck, while Tom was grilling hot dogs. :2thumbs

Apparently the dog walk was quite the adventure yesterday. Nothing really major, but long, and the threat of a hot air balloon which was flying not too close, but.... and of course Toomuch has been being temperamental on the walks, and sitting a lot, so.... let's say I was glad I wasn't along. :devil The wild woman kept it up all day and was quite entertaining. :lol :lol

Sherri, I thought of Sal this morning, as the puppy of the day was a chow/minipin mix named Cooper. :muchlove

I finally had Tom paint my toenails yesterday. :clap

Patty, I'm glad your birthday went so well! :clap :clap :clap

I now have slightly over 400 songs on my ipod. :biggrin

The skeeters have been out a lot lately, and one even chased me into the house. :shutup

Janet, how's vacation going? :huh

flashy, have fun at that reunion today! :fingers

Alrighty, then, you guys keep sleeping, and when you wake up, have a fun Sunday! :hug

Good Morning! :smile

We woke up to rain, wonderful wet rain. :woot :woot Maybe some of the yards in our neighborhood, where owners aren't watering, will green up; and that includes our new next door neighbors. We should be at least 10 degrees cooler today, too. :2thumbs

We're going to church in a little bit and out for breakfast afterwards. :pray :eat

Barb, I also take my Fosamax on Sunday morning. I don't find it such a big deal either. It's probably the hardest in the winter when I'm wanting a hot cup of coffee.

Rusty would sometimes anchor his legs when we were walking and even big ole Bill couldn't budge him. He was a little heavy to carry for very long, but just a few yards then he was happy and would start walking again.

Have a safe day! :hug

Good morning! :2thumbs Barb, you had me scared with that title. :eek

It's a dark, drizzly morning here today. :smack It's funny how different parts of the country are so different weatherwise. I was LOL when Linda said that they were getting wonderful rain. Well, here with the weather we've had over the past month, the rain is anything but wonderful. :cuss

Yesterday we had a productive day here. I got a few areas cleaned out and organized. I guess I caught Barb's organizing bug. I have so many other areas I'd like to tackle, since it all snowballs. Today I'll probably work on organizing my closet area. :hmm I have so much I could throw out.

We're also going to a birthday party for my 3 yr. old niece and 2 yr. old nephew. :birthday

Linda, have a nice time at church and breakfast. :2thumbs You've got me hungry thinking about it.

Barb, what color did Tom paint your toenails? Tom's a great guy to do that. I don't think I could ever convince Brian to do that for me. :hmm

Have a great day! :muchlove

Linda, RAIN! :woot I'm happy for you, I know how it is to be too dry. :cuss :lol about Rusty anchoring his legs, I can picture that easily. Toomuchy just sits and if you try and pull her harness, she will often come right out of it if you're not working at the right angle, and even if you do get her up on her feet, she will then plop right back down. :waiting

Karen, I know Ann is hating the rainy weather as much as you are! :tomato Sure hope you get some nice Summer skies soon. :fingers :lol about catching my organizing bug. We on this board do kind of do stuff in tandem don't we? :shutup

Tom painted my toenails kind of a deep burgundy, I'll have to look up the exact name. It's darker than I usually get but felt daring. :shutup It's funny, but when my sisters and I got together last Winter, we discovered that all of our husbands paint our toenails. :lol

Good morning,

Man I really got a lot done yesterday. It felt so good. I have a bit more to do today. Some additional organizing.

My evening did have a change of plans to the good. Jamie called me and said she didnt' have to work. Wanted to get together. Of course I said YES!! Well, after talking and throwing ideas around about what to do while having a late lunch we decided on bingo. I had a buy one get one free bingo coupon. So we went. Jamie won a $25 door prize which we can use at our next bingo visit. Then, I put $50 into a Wheel of Fortune slot and we built it up to $650. We cashed out and I split it with her. Woohoo! It was a fun night.

We at at Applebees and I had a really good grilled club sandwich. It was turkey, ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce and a bbq mayo on toasted marble rye. That was one delicious sandwich. Jamie had the Oriental Chicken salad.

After bingo we stopped at one of those all night family restaurants and had cake and a glass of milk. Mine was an amaretto layer cake. Jamie at double chocoate toffee.

I still have a stop at the bookstore on my list of things to do.

Well, I had another almost sleepless night. Mostly from noise outside. Thurday our last best day without rain I was woken up by people talking very loudly from the building behind mine. At one point they even started to sing. The talking lasted for several hours. Friday night around 2ish a dog (from the same building) was outside and began barking non stop. Once it did I started to drift off until really really lound music!!! Yesterday I was drifting off around 6 so I went to bed and slept very well until midnight. I was woken up this time by heavy rains, which did lulled me for a while until the thunder! I thought at least the rain keeps the loud talkers inside. Then the rain stopped and out they came. If this pattern keeps up the cops will get a phone call.

I never did make it to the grocery store yesterday, so I need to do that today. Just need to wait for a little break in the rain! This is getting beyound annoying!!! :cuss :cuss

Barb: I was thinking Bloody Mary from your topic title!!

Linda: If it's rain you want take mine!!! Like Karen said this is far from wonderful!!

Karen: Have fun at the birthday parties!

Jelouise: What a day you had!!

lovingatwt: Continue enjoying your vacation. I hope you get word about your job soon.

flashy: Enjoy the reunion today.

Sherri: You might want to add a inflatable raft while packing!!

Anni; I love adirondack chairs!
Ciao!

Hi everyone! It's a beautiful morning in the Chicago area.

I have to work my usual 2-10 p.m. shift today, and I dread driving in with all the Taste of Chicago traffic! (That's the giant food fest they have every year in Grant Park.) Today's also the final game of the Sox-Cubs series, which means more traffic. Something tells me I'll be getting in late.

Barb, I used to take Fosamax but it made my acid reflux worse, so I switched to Evista -- but that has its own set of side effects. So now I'm taking Boniva ... it doesn't seem to bother my acid reflux the way Fosamax did (even though it's the same type of drug) because I only take it once a month.

My twin great-nephews turned three yesterday. They're really cute now.

I'd better go finish getting dressed for work. Hope everyone has a great day!

Karen, have fun at the birthday party. Will there be a lot of other 3 and 4 year olds there? If so, you may want to take earplugs along. :wink

Jill, your evening sounded like a lot of fun in addition to being profitable. Just a few more nights like that one, and you'll have that new a/c unit paid for. Your dinner and dessert also sounded wonderful. :eat

Janet, I must have missed something. Are you worried about losing your job this year? I hope that's not the case.

Bill, we had similar problems with people living right above us when Bill was staying at a highrise condo in Tulsa. They'd just sit on their patio and talk in the middle of the night. Voices really carry at night, and they seemed to be louder than they probably actually were. I hope all is quiet for you tonight.

Kara, I take both Fosamax and Evista. So far I haven't had any problems with reflux. Hopefully, your drive to work wasn't as bad as you feared.

Afternoon everyone!

Just taking a break from the stress. :pullhair I have already decided on a bigger suitcase to check in. :lol I was trying to pack light. :lol But that is impossible with 2 teenage girls. Kasey wants to bring everything in her room except her bed. :rolleyes

Barb, 400 songs? :eek You are really liking that Ipod, aren't you? :lol I like the name Cooper. I wouldl ove to see a picture of that puppy. :muchlove I should post a picture of Sal, if I can find one.

Linda, can you send some of that wonderful rain to me. :biggrin We haven't seen rain for well over a month. My flowers and vegetable garden are showing it too. Everything is dying. :gaah

Jill, sounds like a wonderful day you had yesterday. :2thumbs

Bill, :lol I bet my bigger suitcase will hold the inflatable raft. :hmm I will bring my sunshine with me, leave it, and take the rain back to GA. How's that sound? :2thumbs

Janet, glad your vacation is going good. :2thumbs What's up with your job. :huh Are you and your daughter watching the new season of Secret Life? We also watched the premiere of Make It or Break It that followed. It looks like it will be pretty good.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

Yes, I am loving the ipod! :woot Walked with it on the treadmill today and boy, that was fun! So then I had to make a walking playlist. :shutup Now I want to see if I can make ringtones... :huh

Bill, geeze, your neighborhood sounds as bad as flashy's used to be. :tomato :tomato :tomato

Jill, congrats on your big winnings and all the other fun! :woot :woot

Good evening! The weather cleared up and we made it out the park/lake. There are lots around here so we went to one I'd never been to and walked. Beautiful day. Next up is outside at to the deck...

I guess I never talked her about my job....I lose track of what I've said. We found out Monday our governor wants to cut funding to Ohio libraries by 50% :cry That would definitely cause layoffs and branches to close. We're all bummed of course and worried. We've all been emailing legislators, the governor and budget committee. Turns out the we have a lot of support so we're waiting to see what happens. We should know by Tuesday but if they decide to extend the time it will drag out. A 20% cut was expected but not 50. So there ya have it...and probably know more than you wanted to.

Bill, I'd be calling the police over all that noise! I can't believe a neighbor hasn't you. You can't be the only being woke up. Some people are just idiots.

Sheri, I still have to watch Secret Life. My daughter already did. I'm curious how she'll be with a baby. Did you like the show?

Barb, that Cooper is just too cute :muchlove

Janet, thanks for telling us about the job worries. I hope it doesn't take too long to learn something, and hopefully that news will be good. :pray :pray

Cooper is too cute! I love the way he's sitting. :heart

Sherri, you haven't mention Lea is a while. Is there any news at all?

One more check in bofore I leave. :2thumbs
I think we may be ready to go, sort of. :lol

Cooper is adorable! I want him! :muchlove I really need to get an Ipod. I may be purchasing one when I get back. :hmm

Janet, sorry about the stress of not knowing what's going to happen. :fingers that you will know something soon and it will be good news. I did watch Secret Life. It was good. There is a little shocker in there too.

Linda, I've thought about posting an update on Lea but haven't taken the time. There has been alot of baby steps and some set backs too. :cry She is off the breathing machine but her lungs can't clear the flem that builds up so on Tuesday, they are performing a traceotomy(sp?) :cry She isn't awake but responds to her mother's voice and the doctors. She will pop her eyes open for a few seconds but that is the extent of it. Her mother has to decide whether to move her to a rehabilitation facility or a nursing home. Of course cost is a concern with this too.

I'm heading to bed now, early day for us.

Talk to you all soon. :heart
